A Meta ads audit should tell you, in plain numbers, why your account is not scaling and what to fix first. Ours is the Brand Growth Audit: a one-on-one review of your Meta ad account, creative, Shopify store and unit economics with Gaurav Kapoor, founder of Brand Scaling, who has 12+ years in ecommerce and has managed $50M+ in Meta ad spend.
It is not an automated report or a checklist score. We go through the account the way we would if we were taking it over, because that is what most audits lead to, and we want the plan to stand on its own whether you hire us or not.
A Meta ads audit reviews account structure, tracking and Conversions API quality, creative fatigue and diversity, audience overlap, bidding, landing pages and unit economics. It shows where spend is being wasted or capped, then sets priorities. Ours is the Brand Growth Audit, a one-on-one review with founder Gaurav Kapoor that ends with a 90-day plan.
Every account is different, but the same seven areas decide whether Meta can scale profitably. We look at each and rank what is costing you the most.
How many campaigns and ad sets are splitting the budget, whether they exit the learning phase, and whether Advantage+ shopping campaigns are used where they fit. Fragmented structures are one of the most common reasons spend stalls.
Whether the pixel and Conversions API are both sending purchase events, whether they are deduplicated, how event match quality scores look, and whether Meta-reported purchases line up with Shopify orders. If tracking is off, every other decision is made on bad data.
How long winners have been running, how frequency and click-through are trending, and how many genuinely different angles are live. We map your ads against our hook and angle matrix to find what is missing.
Whether prospecting, retargeting and lookalike or interest ad sets are bidding against each other for the same people, and whether exclusions are set correctly so existing customers are not counted as new ones.
Whether lowest cost, cost caps or bid caps suit your margin and spend level, how budgets are being raised, and whether scaling steps are triggering cost spikes.
Mobile speed, product page clarity, offer and bundle structure, and whether the page matches the promise in the ad. Paid traffic cannot convert better than the page it lands on.
Gross margin, shipping, fees and AOV, turned into a break-even ROAS and break-even CAC. This sets the real target for the account, instead of a ROAS number copied from someone else.
The output is a 90-day plan built around the four phases we use with partner brands, so you can see what happens in what order and why.
The audit is built for DTC brands with product-market fit doing roughly $20K to $2M+ a month, usually spending at least $10K to $20K a month on paid ads. That is the range where structure, tracking and creative problems cost real money and where fixing them changes the trajectory of the business.
It is a good fit if ROAS has dropped and you cannot tell why, if spend will not go up without CPA rising sharply, if Meta and Shopify numbers disagree, or if you are deciding between an agency and an in-house media buyer and want an independent view of the account first. It is a poor fit for pre-launch brands or stores without consistent sales, because there is not yet enough data to audit.
Most accounts we review have two or three problems doing most of the damage, and they are rarely the ones the founder expected. The most frequent are a Conversions API setup that sends events without enough customer data to match well, a structure with too many ad sets splitting a modest budget, and a creative library where every live ad shares the same angle.
Behind those sit commercial issues: a target ROAS set without reference to margin, an AOV too low to support the CAC the market now charges, or a product page that loses mobile visitors before they see the offer. The audit separates account problems from business problems, because no amount of media buying fixes a margin that cannot pay for a customer.
It starts with a call. You book through the contact page, we confirm fit, and you grant view access to the ad account, Shopify analytics and any reporting you use. Gaurav then reviews the account and walks you through the findings one-on-one.
We do not publish a price for the audit or for ongoing management. The scope depends on how many accounts, markets and channels are involved, and any management proposal that follows is quoted after the review, as a monthly retainer, a percentage of ad spend, a performance fee or a mix. You see the plan and the numbers before any fee is agreed.
A few numbers make the audit sharper. If you have them ready, we spend the call on decisions rather than gathering data.
Prices for Meta ads audits vary widely across agencies, from free sales calls to paid deep reviews. Brand Scaling does not publish a price. The Brand Growth Audit starts with a call to confirm fit, and the scope is set after we see the account. Any ongoing management is quoted only after the review.
Access and data gathering usually take a few days, depending on how quickly view access to the ad account and Shopify is granted. The review itself is followed by a one-on-one walkthrough of findings and the 90-day plan. Accounts with several markets or channels take longer because each one needs its own read.
View or analyst access to your Meta Business Manager and ad account, Shopify analytics, and Events Manager so we can check the pixel, Conversions API and event match quality. If you use a separate attribution or reporting tool, view access there helps. We do not need edit access to complete the audit.
Start with tracking: compare Meta purchases with Shopify orders and check event match quality in Events Manager. Then count campaigns and ad sets, check frequency and click-through trends on your top ads, look for overlapping audiences and calculate your break-even ROAS from real margins. Fix tracking before changing anything else.
Event match quality is Meta's score for how well the customer information sent with an event, such as email or phone, matches Meta accounts. Higher match quality helps Meta attribute purchases and optimise delivery. Low scores usually mean the Conversions API is missing parameters, which weakens both reporting and campaign learning.
No. The 90-day plan is written so your team or another agency can run it. Many brands do hire us afterwards because the audit shows exactly what the work involves, but the audit is meant to be useful on its own, including a clear break-even ROAS to judge any future media buyer against.
