Brand Scaling offers DTC affiliate program management for Shopify brands that want creators and affiliates selling for them but do not have the people to run it. A programme with no one managing it usually stalls after launch: a few early partners post once, codes leak to coupon sites, and payouts become a monthly headache.
We run it as an ongoing channel. If you want to understand the strategy behind scaling an affiliate programme yourself, our guide at /blog/dtc-affiliate-program covers that. This page is about the service: what we take off your plate each week and how it connects to your paid ads.
DTC affiliate program management means an outside team runs your affiliate and creator programme for you: recruiting partners, setting commissions, tracking sales, paying out, checking for fraud and turning the best affiliate content into paid ads. You get a channel paid mostly on results without having to staff it in-house.
The work splits into five areas. Each one is a weekly task, not a setup step, which is why most in-house programmes slip.
We source creators, reviewers, niche publishers and existing customers who fit your product. Outreach is personal, with a clear offer and a sample where it makes sense. We also convert your best customers and reviewers into affiliates, since they already believe in the product.
Commission rates are set from your contribution margin, with tiers that reward partners who drive more sales. We decide when to use a flat fee for content, when to pay a percentage, and when a discount code for the audience works better than a higher commission for the creator.
We set up tracking links and unique codes through your affiliate platform and Shopify, check that orders attribute correctly, and agree attribution rules with you upfront so partners and paid channels are not both credited for the same sale without you knowing.
We review commissions each cycle, remove returns and cancelled orders, approve payouts and keep partners informed. Paying accurately and on time is a large part of keeping good affiliates active.
We watch for self-referrals, coupon sites posting partner codes, trademark bidding on your brand name, and sudden spikes from unknown sources. Problem partners are removed and leaked codes are replaced.
The most useful thing an affiliate gives a DTC brand is often not the sale, it is the content. A creator video that already sells to their audience is proven creative. With the creator's permission, we run it as a Meta partnership ad from their handle or as a TikTok Spark Ad on their original post.
This is where our affiliate service ties into everything else we do. Our paid team already ships 30 to 50+ new creatives a month for partner brands, and affiliate content feeds straight into that testing. Winners get budget, and the hooks that work get briefed back to other affiliates so the whole programme improves. If your affiliates mainly sell through TikTok Shop, that side is covered on our TikTok Shop agency page at /tiktok-shop-agency.
A programme is only as manageable as its rules. Before recruiting anyone, we write partner terms that cover commission rates and tiers, the cookie or attribution window, what counts as a valid sale, how returns are handled, where codes may and may not be posted, whether bidding on your brand name is allowed, and how long you can use their content in ads.
We work with the affiliate or creator platform you already have where it does the job, or help you choose one that connects cleanly to Shopify, issues unique links and codes, and handles payouts. The aim is that a new partner can be approved, onboarded and tracked in minutes, and that every order in the affiliate report can be matched to a real Shopify order. Clear terms also make the difficult conversations easier, since removing a partner who breaks them is simply applying what both sides agreed.
Affiliate management fits brands with a product creators are happy to talk about and margin to share. Skincare, supplements, fitness, fashion and accessories are natural fits, along with any product with a clear before and after or a daily routine. Brands typically come to us doing about $20K to $2M+ a month and already running paid ads, so the content has somewhere to go.
It is less suited to very low-margin products, where commissions eat the profit, or to brands without enough stock to support a spike from a creator post. If you are not sure which side you fall on, the audit will show whether the margin and stock position can carry a commission-based channel before you recruit a single partner.
Agencies that run affiliate programmes usually charge a monthly management retainer, a percentage of affiliate revenue, a performance fee, or a mix. Commissions, samples and affiliate platform subscriptions are paid by the brand on top, so compare quotes on total cost per order.
We quote after a Brand Growth Audit with Gaurav. We have not published affiliate programme case studies, so we will not promise you a result for the channel itself. We can show you the paid social results that affiliate content feeds into across our case studies.
An affiliate program manager recruits and onboards partners, sets commission rates, makes sure tracking credits the right partner, approves and sends payouts, and watches for fraud and leaked codes. In our service the manager also reviews affiliate content for use in paid ads, so the programme feeds your creative testing.
Base it on contribution margin per order after product, shipping and fees, then decide what share you can give away and still profit. Tiered rates work well: a standard rate for everyone and higher rates for partners who sell consistently. Paying a flat content fee plus a lower commission suits some creators better.
Use unique codes per partner, set clear terms that ban posting codes on coupon and deal sites, and monitor where orders using each code come from. When a code leaks, replace it and talk to the partner. Some brands also limit codes to first orders or set expiry dates for campaign codes.
Yes, with the creator's permission. Meta partnership ads run the content from the creator's handle, which often reads as more trustworthy than a brand post. On TikTok, Spark Ads do the same with the original post. Agree usage rights and duration in your affiliate terms before running the content.
They overlap. Affiliate programmes pay mainly on commission and scale through many partners. Influencer marketing usually means fixed fees for planned content from fewer, larger creators. Many brands use both, with influencer work covered on our influencer marketing agency page and affiliates handled as an always-on channel.
